Dr David B Wheat

David Wheat was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and has resided in Clinton for the past 29 years. He has been a family physician for 38 years, with boards in family medicine and sports medicine. He is a school team physician, and was an ER physician for 10 years.

He has been married for 40 years and has two children. His hobbies include shooting, flying (as a pilot), tennis, and hiking.

Office Hours:

Our office is closed each day from 11:30 pm – 1:00 pm for lunch. We re-open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and on Fridays from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. We may close the doors at 4:30 if we have no patients or pick-ups scheduled. On Thursdays we are open from 8- 12 pm. We are closed for all major holidays. 

Dr Wheat is on call anytime the office is closed, just call the office number at 601-924-1877 and follow the prompts.

When the office is closed, we do not refill medication, call in pain medication, schedule appointments, or give out test results.

Telephones:

Our telephones will be switched to the answering service when the office is closed for lunch and any other time the office is closed. They will also be switched to the answering service at 4:30 each day for our nurses to return patient calls. Phone messages taken after 3:00 pm may not be returned until the next day.

Payment Information:

Co-pays and deductibles are due at the time of service. You must provide us with a valid ID and a current insurance card. Please check with us if you have a Medicare Advantage plan to be sure we are in network with them. We do not participate In any Medicare Advantage plans.
